Kamala's journey was just the inspiration I needed to seek Membership to the Democratic National Committee. The election will be held at the California Democratic Party March 2020 Executive Board meeting in Visalia, CA. I am respectfully seeking your personal endorsement. I believe my years of Democratic Party activism, at the local, statewide and national levels have prepared me for this important position. I am originally from a strong labor family in Detroit Michigan. My mom was an AFSCME member, working for the State of Michigan, and my dad was a member of the United Auto Workers who worked for Ford Motor Company. Those good middle-class wages and benefits allowed my sister and me to graduate from college debt free and to achieve the American Dream of home ownership. I will always fight to protect those values. For many years I have worked on issues impacting women, seniors and young people, with an emphasis on education. I have also been extremely active in the Election Protection and voting systems arena, trying to help ensure that every vote is counted, as it was cast.
